Doctrine of the Immortality of the Soul and Abortion

I wrote about the ethics regarding the doctrine of the innate immortality of the soul before. I recently stumbled on this picture, although I can unfortunately not recall where anymore. It so fittingly supports my previous discussion that I just had to post it here.

I have wondered why so Christians who believe we go to Heaven/Hell/Limbo when we die get so upset over those issues. And yes, the same with ending people's lives when they are in comas. There was so much protesting over removing a feeding tube from a U.S. lady named Terri Schiavo, who was in a semi-comatose state for 15 years. Some ultra-conservatives were fired up about it and said God was going to hold judgment. But then again, if they believe in an immediate afterlife, why were they so fixed on keeping her in that state longer?
