"Christ does not drive but draws men unto Him. The only compulsion which He employs is the constraint of love. When the church begins to seek for the support of secular power, it is evident that she is devoid of the power of Christ--the constraint of divine love."
How fittingly the above quotation describes what's happening in Croatia and other parts of the world where the church "seek[s] for the support of secular power" in the form of national laws and so on.

Very true.
it can't be easy to be the Church:
all these good intentions... paving their way to ... well, you know.
what are they supposed to do?
(it's always interesting to put yourself in someone else's shoes.)
i suppose, they could have more bake sales? Get the kids when they're young? Encourage parents/child classes? i don't know.
would i go to any of those? i don't know.
the world is going to 'ell in a 'andbasket anyway, so, what CAN they do?
at least they are getting great media coverage. ^_^
